I was over there, writing my top 20 list for the third quarter of 2016 when I realized there are a bunch of k-pop videos that I haven't watched yet. And I mean some pretty big ones. I know I just did a Quick Reviews earlier today, but you get twice the dosage in one day. My first video is MelodyDay with "Color".
The music video was very creative. They messed around with a lot of the color isolation filters. The premise was a boy walks into a diner where the girls are hanging out and he brings color into their world. They were living in black & white and then his presence brought color. The song wasn't as good as the video. It lacked that strong hook that many k-pop songs possess.
Next up is Unnies with "Shut Up".
I have to say I wasn't expecting that. I was so confused because JYP was in the video but then Tiffany was in the video as well. It turns out that this is a single from a show that all the girls were in. The song wasn't great. It was pretty much an old dance style track that just kept saying "shut up".
Next up is Seventeen and "Very Nice".
I'm not sure I understood that music video. They were all hanging around a girl and that girl's stare pierced their souls or something like that. The song was pleasantly nice. I'm not a huge fan of Seventeen, but that wasn't bad.
Next is Juniel with "Pisces". And from what I understand this is Juniel's first release on a different label and away from FNC Entertainment.
The first thing I noticed is her hair is dark again. In her last release "Sorry", her hair was blonde. The first thoughts I had throughout most of this music video were "guardian angel". I'm not sure who was looking over who because at times she was watching him, but in the end she was alone. The song was nice as most of Juniel's stuff tends to be. I liked it.
The final song of the day is going to be Infinite with "That Summer (Second Story)".
That music video reminded me a lot of Big Bang's "We Like 2 Party". It was very cutesy and more personal than a lot of k-pop videos. It's an interesting dynamic to go from songs like "Bad" to a song like this. The song however, was actually quite enjoyable. It's not my favorite song from them but it was a good listen.
Thanks for reading through this again. I'm working on getting a tripod so I can record videos rather than tell you my thoughts about them through text. For the time being thanks for remaining patient. Please like, share, and comment.

My Quick Reviews are conglomerates of music video reviews. For instance, if there are several releases in a single day that are all related or somewhat related, I will do a Quick Review segment.
