It has been over a month since I did a Quick Review, so I decided to make my October 12th edition of Quick Review featuring Davichi and Ladies Code. I'm not super familiar with either group. I do know that Davichi is a ballad duo and that Ladies Code was originally 5 members but 2 of the members died due to a car crash. The 2 members names were EunB and RiSe. Forever EunB. Forever RiSe.
Oh my heck! "Beside Me" by Davichi was incredibly powerful. I felt myself longing for that person to be beside me. The music video was essentially the two girls searching and longing for their lover to come home and be beside them. The search was unsuccessful, I'm assuming, due to the fact that the music video ends with a girl carrying a lantern in the dark, still searching. Not only was the music video phenomenal, but the song took my breath away. This is by far the most emotional and powerfully driven song Davichi has put out to date. Incredible.
"The Rain" by Ladies Code was a chill song with a ton of symbolism within the music video such as falling marbles, fish out of water, and umbrellas. However, I'm not going to get into that. The music video was weird enough but caught my attention throughout the entire thing. There was enough uniqueness while still having its figurative feet on the ground. The song wasn't my favorite song they've put out. "Chaconne" is a great tune. Check it out. But this song really didn't impress me. It was just meh.
Thanks for reading through this. Thank you for the support. Thank you for putting up with my shit. Please like, comment, and share this post.
My Quick Reviews are conglomerates of music video reviews. For instance, if there are several releases in a single day that are all related or somewhat related, I will do a Quick Review segment.
