I'm back! There are so many comebacks happening this month so I decided to not put all of them into separate posts but just to add a bunch of them to this one post. So today I have 4 music video reviews for you in the form of a Quick Review.
I can't say a whole lot from the music video but "Bermuda Triangle" featuring Crush and Dean was lit. The beat was heavy while not too overdone and that off beat was incredible. I think the beat of the song was in full time while that beat would switch over to triplets. I'm not a music expert so don't attack me. i don't know.
"Achieve" by H.Y.U.K was awesome. The music video was them on stage playing a show with filtered in clips from their youth overlapping the instruments. Not a whole lot going on in this video but still an incredible one. The song was power ballad-y. It had a good flow and instrumentation. Those guitar riffs and solos were awesome!
"Memory" by Mamamoo was a slow ballad, something like you'd hear during Christmas time. The track is actually the interlude music for the music video for "Decalcomanie" but the music video is them just having a good time together and wrapping presents and making art. So I don't know Mamamoo very well but I am damn sure that Wheein is the eater in the group because this is about the 3rd music video I've seen her eating in.
I've never been a fan of Shinhwa but their comeback song "Orange" was very much Shinhwa style. Nothing has changed. The music video was a bit too cutesy especially for 6 male adults in their late 30s. However the song took me back to the old days of k-pop; the days before a lot of you were born.
This has been my Quick Reviews for this week. Keep yourselves updated because I update my website often. Thanks as always and please like, comment, and share this post on social media. See ya in the next one.
Welcome back everyone. Today I'll be doing a Quick Review for two songs, both by boy groups. The first of these reviews is "Rainy Day" by ToppDogg. I've never watched a ToppDogg video so this will be a new experience for me. The other one is "E" by 24Boys. I hope you enjoy this set of reviews I'll be doing for you today.
The music video and song for this comeback by ToppDogg was rather uninteresting. The song was good enough. It had a mellow, dragging feel to it but there was no huge dynamics in the song. The music video was pretty much just the same. There were scenes of them playing in the rain and then dancing, but nothing to spark excitement, especially with all these phenomenal comebacks that have been happening recently. This doesn't fair well against the rest. I'm sorry ToppDogg.
First off, 24 boys is too many. 24 members of any group is too many. I think 9 is the maximum I can allow for any group. But the song was actually good. It reminded me of 90s Backstreet Boys. But unfortunately, with that comes the 90s outfits as well. What the hell were those outfits they were wearing towards the end of the video? Seriously, those need to be lost.
Well, that's it for today. I watched two music videos and it took me over an our to do so. But anything for k-pop. Thanks for the support and don't forget to share this post and like and comment on it as well.
My Quick Reviews are conglomerates of music video reviews. For instance, if there are several releases in a single day that are all related or somewhat related, I will do a Quick Review segment.
