This song features Taeyeon singing the choruses throughout the entire song. The song is a song focused on the negativity in the world and how in a perfect world, all of that negativity would be gone.
I’ve watched the video countless times and just barely realized that I haven’t done a review on this song yet, so I decided at 1:47 am to do a review. It’s going to be a short one since it’s late and because I’ve already seen it several times. Maybe that will make it a long post. Anyway, the video is of a guy with a large papier mậché head that is considered ugly. He wanders around the city being turned down by anyone and everyone. He goes to drink to forget the pain but gets kicked out and eventually the video shifts from the guy being a large headed guy to being a normal guy looking into a pond and seeing his reflection as the large headed guy. I think the point of this video is that he thinks he’s ugly and only in a perfect world would he be accepted as normal. However, the guy isn’t ugly at all, in my opinion. He’s actually quite good looking, but whatever.
The song is about the problems with the world. The words “if the world was a perfect place” get repeated over and over in both Korean and English. This song is amazing! I like it almost as much as “I” and I loved “I” so that’s saying something. Verbal Jint and Taeyeon work really well together.
So that review went a little longer than I expected it to. I just started writing and before I knew it I was through an entire page in a matter of minutes. I hope you liked this video as much as I did, and even if you don’t like the video, support Taeyeon and Verbal Jint. This video has barely made an impact, so let’s make it famous. Did you like the video? What interpretations do you have for the video? I know there are many ways of seeing this video. Leave your comments below. Thanks for reading.
