Check out my list of top 10 songs of the week in this special Taeyeon's birthday edition! Also, I'm bringing this series back and will update more often now! In case you are not somewhere where you can listen to this, or you can't get it to load for some reason, I'll have my list attached on this blog!
10. Taemin - Soldier Ever since this song and album was released, I've not stopped listening to it. This song shows off Taemin's abilities as a musician and proves his maturity from his previous album to this one. He definitely stepped up his game with the release of Press It. 9. Brave Girls - Deepened When this song came out, I had no idea who the Brave Girls even were. I decided to give it a chance and I was glad I did. This song took the best song of 2016 for a while in my mind. These girls know how to perform and can definitely entertain. 8. Twice - Like a Fool Twice is a 9 member girl group from JYP that debuted in the latter part of 2015. They destroyed the charts with their hit title "Like OOH AHH", however my favorite song from their debut mini album is defiitely "Like a Fool". Not only does this song show how mature they already are, but it shows off their vocal ability. Definitely one of my favorite songs of 2015. 7. 4Minute - Blind While "Hate" took YouTube by storm and seemed to compete greatly with their previous release "Crazy", my favorite song from their mini album was definitely "Blind". This song is so unique and has a sound that Skrillex (the one who produced this album) would be proud of. It has a very dirty, grimy feeling to it that all seems to fall harder with that opening beat in the chorus. 6. Mamamoo - You're the Best Mamamoo is a group I'm not a fan of, but they nailed it with this release. I've been listening to this song on repeat and actually breaking my repeat button. The vocal blend and style in this song is unique and very powerful. To say it sounds different from the rest of their sound would be a lie, but in a way it still sounds better than their previous releases. 5. 4Ten - Severely 4Ten is a group I just recently got into a lot more with their release of Jack of All Trade. These girls know how to produce a dance song that gets stuck in your head. This song reminds me of a video game song or an anime opener. It's so good, you'll be singing it for days. 4. Stellar - Sting Stellar is another group I've gotten into more recently. They seem to over sexualize every concept they are in, however with this theme it seems to be more about the media and their company poking at their over sexualization. It's a powerful song with great meaning. 3. Jimin & Xiumin - Call You Bae Jimin is the cutey that appeared in season 1 of Unpretty Rapstar. She, along with Xiumin in this cutesy tune, nail the aegyo/cute first date stage look. Jimin is too cute in this bright and colorful music video. And I noticed that Lee Hi, in her newest video "Hold My Hand" is wearing the same sweater as Jimin at the end of this video. 2. Eric Nam & Wendy - Spring Love Wendy of Red Velvet collaborates with Eric Nam in this SM Station release that will melt your heart. The two spend the day together at a rather abandoned amusement park. A large majority of the video is shot in stop-motion format which makes for a reminiscent feeling throughout the video. 1. Taeyeon - Secret Taeyeon's birthday is today so I had to put her at the top of the list. Taeyeon was the first to release a song for SM Station and released her song "Rain". However, on that single was an additional song called "Secret" that is equally as beautiful and proves that Taeyeon is one of SM's best vocalists. The strong ballad shows off her strong vocals and her right to be known as the OST Queen. Thanks for reading this and don't forget to check out the video. |
In this section of my website, I will review Kpop music videos, albums, songs, and various other things pertaining to Kpop. This will be the main stage of my website. It is where the majority of the action will take place.
