Here I am again with another top 10 list for 2015. I know the New Year is tonight but I will continue this series for at least two weeks into the New Year. Today, I have my top 10 Male songs of 2015. Hope you will enjoy this one. Remember, these songs are my personal opinion. Please don't get offended when your favorite songs don't make my list.
10. Xia Junsu - Flower
I had to put this song on my list. This song was definitely one of the most epic songs and music videos of the year. The style and everything just makes this song epic. What else can I say about this song? The operatic singing behind the chorus adds a nice element that isn't present very often in k-pop.
9. Roh Jihoon - If You Were Me
This song is too adorable and cute to not put on my list. The video is of a blind girl falling in love and it is too cute. The song is also very good and has a good catch to the song.
8. Got7 - Just Right
Typically, I hate boy groups being "aegyo". However, Got7 does it in a cute way that doesn't irk me the wrong way. This song and video are super catchy, but not only that, it has a good message. I didn't like this song at first but it has snuck its way into my heart.
7. Exo - Love Me Right
Love Me Right is an amazing song that was released as Exo's promotion for their repackaged album for Exodus. This song has a catchy Exo-ish style and is just overall fantastic.
6. Kim Sunggyu - Kontrol
Kim Sunggyu, in my opinion, struggled with his first mini album. He wore too much make up and was a bit too experimental, however, with his second mini album, he nailed it on the head. His first single off the album was this song Kontrol. Kontrol is a very emotional song that seems to tie into the events of ferry disaster. It's a wonderful song.
5. SHINee - Married to the Music
SHINee does it again with this release for their repackaged album for View. This song seems to be a very similar song, in my opinion, to Love Me Right, but a little more catchy. The video seems to be Halloween themed and playing with the Addams family/Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's an awesome video and song.
4 - BigBang - Let's Not Fall in Love
If anyone were to say this was not BigBang's year, they would be clearly mistaken. BigBang had four separate releases with two songs each. However, among all those releases, Let's Not Fall in Love was definitely my favorite from these releases, although Bang Bang Bang and Sober came really close.
3. BTS - I Need U
BTS also had an amazing year, but this song tops that list because I Need U is the song that got me into BTS. Before this song, I had no idea who BTS was. However, since that release, I've been obsessed with them. This video is sad but powerful and I guess the first of their deep concept videos.
2. Exo - Sing for You
Exo has had a very impressive year with Call Me Baby, Love Me Right, but now Sing for You is on the top of this list. Why? I think it's because this song is so stripped down and raw. It's the most honest thing they've done their entire career. Real emotion was put into this song and that's why it wins my number 2 spot.
1. Super Junior D&E - Growing Pains
My number one spot belongs to D&E, Donghae and Eunhyuk, of a band that I quite despise but no one can argue that this song wasn't amazing. This song is my third favorite k-pop song of all time under 2Yoon - Nightmare and SNSD - Mr. Mr. This song I feel has real emotion and has the rock band feeling going for it. The piano and guitar is amazing in this song, but nothing extreme. I love this song and if you haven't heard it yet, please do listen to it.
Thanks again for reading my boring writing. I know I can be a bit boring but thank you for bearing with me. This is my top 10 male songs of 2015. I'll be back tomorrow with my top 10 collab songs of 2015. See ya then.
