My ultimate bias is at it again. She's gone non stop for the past 7 months or so. Here she is again to once again treat our ears with her majestic voice. Kim Taeyeon of Girls' Generation is back. She is the first of many artists to promote for the new SM project entitled STATION. I'm really excited for this, but at the same time I hope she gets to rest after this. Well, let's get right down to business. I don't want to wait any longer to watch this. Okay, so the music video was quite interesting. It seemed to be that she was filling a fish tank with water and then at one point in the video, everything turned into water and flooded her room. There was a sequence where the scene was black and white, but when she dropped her notebook into the water, color splashed into the scene. I'm not sure entirely what the theme behind this is, but it seems to be letting go of ties and letting them all become as water. The song is super smooth and jazzy. I actually love her voice so much in this style because it shows what she is capable of. She's not just a girl group singer, but she has a jazzy side to her as well. My favorite part of the song was her vocal solo. Mainly because it's not very often in k-pop where we get doo doos in a song and if we do it's to build onto something bigger, but here, she just had a vocal solo which is awesome.
So who else is excited for this SM project? I am way excited and they started off strong. Taeyeon is the perfect choice to start off this project. I loved the song and the video so much. I plan on listening to this pretty much non stop for a while. Thanks for reading and thanks for your support. |
In this section of my website, I will review Kpop music videos, albums, songs, and various other things pertaining to Kpop. This will be the main stage of my website. It is where the majority of the action will take place.
