My Queen is back again but for real this time! This is her official comeback! I already pre-ordered both versions of the album. There is an “I Got Love” version and a “Fine” version and I ordered both! I'm so excited to receive them. Like I said in previous posts, I'll do a livestream if I can figure out how to. Anyway, we're not here to talk about albums I've purchased. We're here to watch Taeyeon's music video!
So many words, but no idea how to express them. Let's start with the aesthetics of the music video. It was interesting because the video was shot almost like a trap song would be shot. It had a lot of doodle effects and filters but the finished project was one that brought me to literal tears. The concept here was obviously a song about heartache, but the way they went about it was phenomenal. The disorientation that was present throughout the music video and the way the memories existed as one thing, but then later, his face was blotted out. It is truly how I feel heartbreak and heartache are. I think the part where I teared up the most was when the song faded out and she stopped singing. It hurt my heart to see Taeyeon even act like she's hurting or in pain. Well done producers! There was a lot of stop-motion effects throughout the video which also give the illusion of time passed or a disorientation of sorts.
Now, I don't know if I can do this. The song was an acoustic piece that built slow and strongly. I'm pretty sure it was just piano and guitar in this song which is how I love hearing Taeyeon. I don't like having a ton of effects and instrumentation blocking her vocals out. The chorus came and I almost fell backwards from how powerful it was. Incredible job by the song writers, but not only that, towards the end of the chorus they did it again. I am just wowed completely by this song and the work that obviously went into it. I'm glad this song was the title track and not “I Got Love” not that I didn't like “I Got Love” but this song is an obvious choice in my eyes. “I Got Love” was just too typical of a K-pop song. There was nothing that really stood out in that song like this entire composition did.
I hope you loved that song and video as much as I did. I cannot wait until my albums arrive. Also I hope you enjoyed my review of “Fine” by Taeyeon. I don't even remember what I wrote, but all I know is that song was incredible in every way. Thanks for showing support to me. Thanks for sticking with me. Please give this post a like and share on social media as well as commenting your thoughts and suggestions for future reviews. I'll see ya in the next one. If I can survive.
In this section of my website, I will review Kpop music videos, albums, songs, and various other things pertaining to Kpop. This will be the main stage of my website. It is where the majority of the action will take place.
