Sistar released their comeback music video called “I Like That”. I haven't yet watched any teasers or trailers for this music video. Therefore this experience will be a fresh one for me because I'm untainted by the tidbits and sneak-peeks that YouTube tempts us with on a daily basis. Sistar's last release which was “Shake It” was fun and energetic but not my cup of tea, so I'm hoping that this release is more up my alley.
I have no idea what was going on in that music video. I was genuinely confused. Sistar was doing dances with cloth banners and then one of the members was laying on the ground which looked like a staircase, but it wasn't. Another member blew fire or something out of her mouth to be allowed into a secret club of some sort. Over all, the video confused me and maybe I should go back and rewatch it a couple of times to fully grasp the meaning of the music video. In the end however, I will resort to the comment section of the video to find the interpretations of this music video.
The song was a lot more catchy than the previous release. This one was fast paced, but had a chill, mellow feeling and vibe throughout most of the song. There was horns that drove the main flow and beat of the song. Those horns weren't annoying, but at the same time, they could have toned them down a bit. The horns did give a sort of Arabic feeling to the song. Hyorin's voice and adlibs were amazing and I've said this before but I prefer Hyorin as a solo artist over a group artist. Her vocals are so beautiful and unique that she could definitely do more with her vocal abilities.
I hope you enjoyed my review of Sistar's new music video, “I Like That” and I hope you will share this post and like and comment on it as well. More music video reviews coming your way soon. There are so many comebacks it is hard to know what to do with one's self.
