SHINee is back once again with their comeback release for what I believe is their 1 of 1 Repackaged album called 1 and 1. I loved “1 of 1” and thought it was a jam. I still listen to it all the time in my car. But now we're going to see what SHINee has to offer this time around. I heard it is a more solemn song than “1 of 1” was. We'll find out I guess.
That was fantastic. The music video had a lot of symbolism in it. There was the cross, the burning car, the guns, and many more. This video was trying to tell a story while still being very artistic. I enjoy that about this music video. The people who stood out to me in this video were Onew and Jong Hyun. Maybe they had more screen time or maybe they were more passionate during their on screen time. Either way, those two stuck out to me more than any of the others. Well, except Taemin and his ridiculously tight pants.
The song was really chill. Solemn is a good way to describe it. However, I really enjoyed the rapid fire, filtered out hi-hats during the verses. Those were unique and added a distinctness to the song. On top of that, can we talk about Minho rapping? That was awesome! Not the best rap I've heard, but Minho rapped! It's interesting how even groups like SHINee that are primarily pop groups are implementing rap lines into their songs. The song felt like it wasn't progressing, in a good way. It felt very steady but at the same time unstable. I enjoyed that about this song.
I actually enjoyed this song more than “1 of 1” and I loved the hell out of that song, so I can't wait to download this song into my library. I hope you enjoyed my review of “Tell Me What to Do” by the one and only SHINee. Please like this post and comment and share it as well all over social media. Thanks for all the support guys and I'll see ya in the next one.
