Okay, so I'll do full reviews today but I've got 4 comeback videos to review tonight so I'll do it a little bit quicker than usual. The first video for tonight is “Decalcomanie” by Mamamoo. I've come to love Mamamoo so much over the past year and they surprise me with each new release. My bias in Mamamoo at the moment is Wheein but Moonbyul is sneeking up on her really closely. Let's just get into this.
“Decalcomanie” by Mamamoo was a phenomenal song. The music video as well portrayed the vibe I got from the song into the video. In the video, the four separate girls were going about their business being stalked by four guys and then suddenly when they are alone, the guy's attack and kiss the girls passionately. At one point in the video, I think Solar was struggling to get away but the guy held her hand down. I wonder if this is promoting stalking and rape? I doubt it. My favorite outfit change was the suits but they only panned over those scene rather quickly and I would've liked to see more of that outfit.
The song was excellent like I said. It felt more cinematic than their previous songs; like there was more instrumentation and it was more progressive. It was still a very good song and had that Mamamoo element, but it felt more like a secret agent movie vibe than a oldies flapper girl vibe which is what Mamamoo usually sticks with. I don't know, leave your opinions down below.
I hope you enjoyed this review. There are still 3 more coming so hold tight. Please like, comment, and share this post.
