Jeon Jiyoon of 4Minute is officially making her debut today. Not much has been heard of her since the group disbanded. However, now it's Jiyoon's turn to shine. My only wish is that Gayoon would join her and reform 2Yoon. “I Do” is the title of Jiyoon's first track as a solo artist. Let's see if it lives up to her incredible ability.
Jiyoon has always been one of my favorite members from 4Minute and it's great to see her belting those high notes and singing her heart out. The music video for this song was interesting. She kept getting transported to various locations and in the end of the video, she touches a golden flower and sun rays come down from the sky. I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. An alternative title for this song I heard was “I am the Sun” and the sun rays at the end could mean she found her way home.
The song was incredible. It was a little strange for her, a former member of a bad ass girl group, to debut with a ballad, but I loved it. I'm hoping to hear some rapping from her on this new album of hers, but for the time being I love that Jiyoon is exploring vocals more than rap.
Thank you for reading my review of “I Do” by Jeon Jiyoon. I loved this song and I hope you did as well. Please like, comment, and share this post. I'll be back tomorrow, I'm sure with another music video review of some sorts.
In this section of my website, I will review Kpop music videos, albums, songs, and various other things pertaining to Kpop. This will be the main stage of my website. It is where the majority of the action will take place.
