Jimin of AOA is making her debut right now! I'm excited to see what she does with this opportunity. Her new music video Call You Bae features Xiumin of Exo. The teaser looked really cute and Jimin of course looked really cute. Jimin is known for her appearance on Unpretty Rapstar and for being sort of a potty mouth when it came to her raps. So I guess we'll see what she does in this video. I doubt she'll swear though because it's still under FNC Entertainment.
The music video was really cute. At the beginning, they were listening to I'm Jelly Baby by AOA Cream. Tricky advertising, FNC. It just seemed like the concept was her and Xiumin going on a date. There were emojis throughout the entire video and I don't know if they were supposed to express the moods of each person because they didn't really match, but it was still really cute and caught your attention. At the very end of the video, Jimin was trying to do some sexy poses in her red sweater, but couldn't stop laughing. She really is too cute.
The song was really light and airy feeling. It had a good vibe to it and Xiumin's vocals were killer as well. I was a little disappointed that Jimin didn't rap as fiercely as she usually does but maybe that's because this song is so light. She usually has this drive in her voice that attacks you. Her rapping this time was more melodic and was trying to fit into a category it seemed. Overall though, it was a really good and catchy song and FNC probably won't upload it to Spotify knowing my luck.
That was a great music video. What did you all think? Did you like it? What are your thoughts for Jimin and her newly found solo career? Let me know your thoughts and comments below. Also, don't forget to follow me on social medias.
