Happy 420 everyone! I know it's late but I decided Jessica Jung needed a review done for her latest release “Because It's Spring” which is being called a music film instead of a music video. If that's the case, there better be some damn story telling in this music film. I know it was her birthday a couple of days ago as well so I'll say happy belated birthday to the lovely Jessica Jung.
Okay, the video looks like something a 7th grader would throw together for a class project. There was a lot of overused effects such as film grain, lens flares, monochrome, overexposed, split screen camera, image isolation and much more that all seem like things from Photo Booth on a Mac computer. That being said, the video wasn't terrible. Aside from all the simplicities I mentioned, the video shows Jessica seeming to be real with the person behind the camera. It shows the Jessica we all love and desperately want to know.
The song had a throwback sound that is so typical (in a good way) of Jessica. It sounded like a song you would throw up on the record player on a rainy day. It's actually similar to “Rain” by Taeyeon in that sense. This song is one that relaxes a person and makes all the worries drift away. I have definitely grown to love Jessica's voice over time and this style of music is just her place. She has a very high pitched, gentle voice which works perfectly with cutesy and old timey music.
Well I hope you guys enjoyed this review of “Because It's Spring” by Jessica Jung. There are more reviews to come so keep posted. I plan on doing at least 2 reviews tonight. But in the meantime, like my review, share it on social media and comment your thoughts or opinions. As always, thank you so much for supporting me in what I do, even if I don't do it well. I'll see you in the next one.
In this section of my website, I will review Kpop music videos, albums, songs, and various other things pertaining to Kpop. This will be the main stage of my website. It is where the majority of the action will take place.
