Jenyer also known as Jiyoon of 4Minute has made her comeback collaboration with Samuel Seo. If you guys didn't know, Jiyoon took the alias Jenyer and released her debut music video a little while back. This song she released a little while ago is called “Cliché” and I'm hoping it's anything but that.
It definitely wasn't cliché because the video was about uniformity and how that kills creativity and imagination. The video was an animation about a cat that is a leader that demands uniformity. He wants everyone to look like him and do the things he's doing so he puts everyone through a machine that makes them the same. Samuel Seo as an animated fish comes in, flooding the theater where everyone is located and brings their originality back.
The song was kind of jazzy with some rock influences tied in there. It was rather soothing and had a nice flow and rhythm to it. I don't know who Samuel Seo is but his vocals added a nice presence to the song with Jenyer's flow and harmony contrasting it in a very good way. Jenyer has a way of stealing my heart without even being on screen. Her voice takes from my heart and promises to never give any back. However I'm okay with her taking from me because if that means hearing her more often putting out quality music like this then take all you want!
I hope you enjoyed my review of “Cliché” by Jenyer and Samuel Seo. I really enjoyed watching the video and hearing the music. Let's not be uniform but original. Keep checking out my reviews and various other content on my website. Thank you for doing that and I'll see ya in the next one.
