IU is officially making her comeback with “Palette” featuring G-Dragon. I might have said her last video was her comeback but it was actually just a pre-release. This song is going to be so good because IU has a powerful voice and GD is, well...GD! Like I said before, IU is a girl I'm falling for more and more as I listen to her music. I haven't delved more into her collection but I did listen to “23” and thoroughly enjoyed that song.
The music video was pretty artsy and I liked it because of the way the producers went about it. There was a ton of cues from the past 25 years in this video including tagging on Instagram, subtitles, error messages on old Windows computers, and much much more. IU is so cute, she's climbing my bias list. My favorite part of the video was the chorus of course but when she was in the white sweater and swung her arms up and the sweater kind of exposed her belly button. That was so cute. I was kind of expecting GD to not make an appearance in the video which remained true.
The song was cute and chill. I don't know if I can find the words to describe it. It was ethyreal and poppy, but chill and vibrant. I don't know but I can say that I loved the song. When GD came on, I almost forgot that he was featured in this song because it actually didn't sound like him at first. I thought it was Gaeko or Mad Clown or someone else like that. IU seems to “like it” since she's 25.
I hope you enjoyed this review of “Palette” by IU. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the album because IU is too cute to not support her. What was your thoughts on IU and GD on the same track?
