g.o.d is a South Korean boy band that debuted in 1998 or 1999, I can’t remember exactly. They are the kings of ballads, so I’m excited to listen to their newest song entitled “A Funny but Sad Day”. The teaser had them in a car driving, but then getting in a crash and the leader, I want to say he’s the leader, crying in a hallway. So without any more introduction, let’s get started.
That video was ridiculously sad. Before anything else, I need to say that I got chills when they started singing. I don’t get chills from songs, but this song did that to me. The video takes place during a car crash. The car is rolling and there’s a flashback to each of their lives. One ditched his mom on his birthday to spend time with his friends, another one was planning on getting married, and there were several other ones including the birth of a child, a grandfather becoming sick, and a son spending time with his father. The car lands, safe and sound, they continue driving off and the video ends with them all making up for the mistakes they made. The title “A Funny but Sad Day” fits the song well because it’s funny just with the fact that they almost died but now can go back and make things right.
How many of you have heard of g.o.d? Will you listen to them more after hearing this song? What did you think of the song and video? Let me know your responses in the comment section. That’s my video review of g.o.d – A Funny but Sad Day. Hope you enjoyed it.
