G-Friend is back with their music video for "Rough". I saw the teaser which looked very much like...all their other videos. It was basically a school girl concept. Can't we move past that? Anyway, the song sounded really promising. Even more promising than "Me Gustas Tu" which was their hit of 2015. So, I'm ready to just get into it.
I enjoyed the song ved the song very much. It has a very classical, retro k-pop sound. It's very refreshing to have an older sounding song by a new girl group. The chorus was very fast-paced vocally, but slower musically which is a cool trick that a lot of artists use. Red Velvet used that same style with the verses of "Dumb Dumb." The music video looked like they were all doing their own thing and then they remembered they buried a time capsule together and recovered it. The time capsule didn't seem to be buried that deep and how long was that time capsule in the ground? Like a few months? Sorry. But the song was really good. I enjoyed it a lot. More than I thought I would. Another thing I have to point out is that the dance looks really cool, especially during the guitar solo/breakdown.
I know it's been a while since I've done a music video review and I'll work on that. I know I always say that but I really will. I've gotten so far behind on videos that I just gave up for a little while, but I remembered all of you. Hope you enjoyed my review of G-Friend - Rough. Thanks for the support.
