Jeong Eun Ji of Apink has officially made her first comeback since last year and this time with her song “The Spring” which is absolutely fitting for her. Eun Ji is my bias in Apink and therefore I am thrilled about this release. Her previous album and single “Hopefully Sky” was addictive and so upbeat and positive, so I'm hoping this song follows in the footsteps of her previous release. Either way it is Eun Ji, she is beautiful so therefore the song and music video will be beautiful.
The music video was cute and really simple. The concept was basically Eun Ji as a taxi driver and seeing all these couples being happy. She thinks back to a time when she was happy and it looks like rather than dwelling on the past, she is looking forward with bright eyes. So I have to say this, if I got into a taxi cab and I saw that Eun Ji was my driver, I'd probably never leave that cab. Second, I think having Eun Ji as a taxi driver would be the most pleasant experience in the world because she always has a smile on her face and is so pleasant of a person.
This song sounded similar to “Hopefully Sky” because it still had that folky edge to it which I think works perfectly with Eun Ji's voice and style. I didn't find myself drawn into this song as easily as “Hopefully Sky” but I will continue to listen to this and inevitably get addicted to it. I'm okay with that and I hope everyone else is okay with that because that is how it is going to be. Eun Ji sneaks her way into your heart and remains there forever.
