My boy, Dean is back with another guaranteed hit. Dean doesn’t put out bad music. He just doesn’t. His song “Instagram” was released a while ago, but only recently received a music video. I actually haven’t listened to the song yet, so this will be a surprise for me.
Dean surprises us with a simple but extremely unique music video. The video consisted of Dean sitting in a white room. The video was mostly in black and white. After a short time, the video began to get interesting. Dean didn’t really do anything for the video, but the post production editing was incredibly well done and like I said, simplistic. “Paint” began running down the walls, being replaced with images of static. It is a simple technique to replace images with other images, but the way it was done was really well done.
The song was a bit unique as well, being something unlike anything Dean has ever done, but still remaining quite true to Dean’s stylistic sound. This song featured a clean tone guitar with a phaser effect, creating a relaxed, atmospheric sound. Near the end of the song, the music cut out and the sound of water replaces it and a short narrative comes in, dwelling on the feeling of being alone.
I really liked this song, but it may take some more time for me to love it. I really enjoyed the guitar and the video was phenomenal. What did you think about it? Did you like the song? Please support Dean. Thank you for the love you give me. Like and share this review. Thank you again for the support and I’ll see you in my next review.
