It’s been a minute since I’ve heard anything from CocoSori. They initially put out that broccoli music video and then they had that other strange one. I’m hoping “Miamor” is a little more on the normal side. I really do love CocoSori though. They put out good music.
CocoSori has been known for creating some crazy music videos, but this video was actually quite normal. The girls (I still can’t identify who’s who) fall for a guy who lives in their building. They have an elaborate dream they are spending time with this guy. A part in the music video that cracked me up was when one of the girls lifts her phone to show a case that reads “Handsome Broccoli Only”, a clear reference to their debut song “Dark Circle”. At the end of the video, one of the girls almost kisses the guy to wake up to her actually kissing the other member.
I didn’t pay as much attention to the song as I should have, but there was a great use of synth tones in the song. A higher synth created a melody while the low end synth played with the rhythm of the song. With a song titled “Miamor” or “Mi Amor” literally translating to “My Love” from Spanish, it’s almost required to have Latin vibes which this song hints at. There are underlying clues to the Latin sound, but it’s not in your face like “O Sole Mio” or “Hallelujah” from Jimin.
I really loved this song. I like their other songs, but this is more something I would listen to in my free time. What did you think of the song? Do you know of CocoSori?
