CLC (Crystal Clear) is back with their new song High Heels. This is their first comeback since late in the summer of 2015 with Like. The video however is a short version. Where are we? Japan? Why is it a short version of the music video? I hope this trend won't stick too long because I noticed a B.A.P song earlier that was also a short version video. Anyway, I'm excited for this, especially since CLC just added two new members to their lineup.
The music video, while short, was quite bubbly and really bright. I couldn't quite find a concept within the video besides just cutesy. CLC is really good when it comes to cutesy concepts. Although I didn't like this one as much, it still was pretty good.
The song however was a major letdown actually. It seemed to be building up and up and even into the chorus, it was still building, but never quite reached that climax point. Then it all just drops away before the second verse. This kind of song gives me anxiety because I'm waiting for a massive drop or something new to catch my attention but it continues to climb and then just fall away. It's quite annoying that they produced this song like that.
Sorry this review is so short, but hey the video was short so I can do a short review. Overall, this song wasn't a huge hit for me. While it may be number 1 for other people, for me it just didn't do it. Did you enjoy the song? Do you like having short videos? Let me know in the comments section.
