The music video was quite crazy. It was definitely a continuation of “I Need U” because there was the train and Rap Monster was still sucking on a lollipop. But aside from that, the music video was pretty much them just destroying and vandalizing a bunch of stuff. Even the scene where they stopped the flow of traffic and vandalized all the cars was pretty insane. The symbolism here I think is that one of the members feels like he’s drowning and that he’s all alone because at the beginning a member falls into the water and through the music video, he’s under water. Also there are several moments in the video where they are all together, but then all of a sudden the one member is all alone. Maybe because in “I Need U” since they all died or whatever, this is the last member feeling all alone and reminiscing on his past with his friends.
The music was catchy but not nearly as catchy as “I Need U”. It also had kind of a light feeling to it, not nearly as dark and grungy as their earlier stuff. However, I like it like this a little bit more. Not that I didn’t like their earlier stuff, but this has elements of many genres which makes it more timeless.
That was my music video review for BTS’s “Run”. Hope you enjoyed reading it. Make sure to comment below what you favorite part(s) were. Did you enjoy this music video more or less than “I Need U”?
