BoA is up next for SM Station with artist Beenzino with their song “No Matter What”. I love everytime BoA releases a new song. It excites me and gives me hope. It's sort of a weird connection between me and BoA. She's the first k-pop artist to get me into k-pop. She's my first. So of course I get attached and emotional and excited everytime she releases something new.
The music video was cute. It was a cartoon made with paper much like how South Park is made. The video was about the BoA character trying to get to a male character on the other side of the solar system. Both her and him tried to get closer to each other. At the very end, they reached each other and were finally united. The video was creative and kind of reminded me of Luna's “Free Somebody” and Red Velvet's “Happiness”.
The song was really light and carefree sounding. It was kind of Toto-ish in the fact that they used a lot of xylophones and effects like that to give it such an airy sound. BoA's voice of course was amazing because I can't think of a time when it's not. I was a bit disappointed to not see BoA herself in this music video but the song fit the mood of the video and vice-versa.
This has been my review of the new SM Station featuring BoA and Beenzino. I hope you enjoyed my review of it. I know there are a ton of comebacks coming our way, so the question is, are you ready for it? Let me know in the comments section which comeback you're most excited for.
