Berrygood Heartheart is a new subunit from Berrygood. To say I know a lot about Berrygood would be a lie so I definitely don’t know anything about Berrygood Heartheart. I can’t even tell how many of the original members are in this from the thumbnail because it’s a girl holding a letter. The image is looking down at the letter. Well, “Crazy, Gone Crazy” is the debut from this subunit. I feel like 2018 is going to be the year for subunits.
Not quite sure what happened in the video but it felt like they were keeping a secret between the three of them. There was whispering and phone calls. It all felt very secretive. The video was supposed to take place in the past as seen from the record player, the letter sealer, candles, and other things that aren’t really used as much. There was a ton of symbolism in the video as well but I am really bad at catching onto what’s being shown.
The beat of the song had a 90s R&B vibe. It was very reminiscent of that style. The song was extremely sultry and smooth. I think this is a vocal subunit because I’ve said before that Berrygood has amazing vocals but they haven’t really displayed them as much. This song though has some great vocal riffing. The overall tone of the song had something sinister about it. Like I said, it seems like there are secrets about that they don’t want us to know about.
