AOA Cream just released their music video for "I'm Jelly Baby". What I know about AOA Cream so far is just what wikipedia says. The group is made up of Chanmi, Hyejeong, and Yuna from parent group AOA or Ace of Angels. That's pretty much all it says about them so I guess we'll go ahead and jump right into the music video.
The music video for "I'm Jelly Baby" is quite cute. It starts with the three girls sitting in a lounge with of course, AOA's song "Heart Attack" playing over the speakers. They see a guy they like with another girl and they begin to transform into fairy-like creatures. The transformation is very much a reference to Sailor Moon. After they've transformed, they freeze time and cause a whole bunch of trouble for him. The rest of the music video is just them torturing this poor guy.
The song, for some reason, reminded me of Nine Muses' "Hurt Locker". It definitely had other influences stuffed in there as well, but the overall feeling of the song was, for me, a huge Nine Muses sound. It didn't even sound like AOA, which is kind of funny. The post chorus part sounded a little like Got7's "Just Right" also.
So that's my review of this pleasantly sounding AOA Cream debut. I think they put out a strong debut song and can't wait to hear more from them. What did you think of it? Did this song remind you of any other songs? Tell me in the comment section. Thanks for the support.
